so back to the topic, i am chai softdespair, a pan non-cis from middle east who is broke and currently struggles to get food basically and i hope you can help me.

＜my life 101＞

basically my father is an abusive, manipulative shit who does any shitty thing, which sometimes also include not giving us money to get food, causing a almost-starving period for us – me, my mother and my younger sister. we are already poor. we live off of the retirement fund my father gets each month which is around 270 usd. i tried to apply for part-time jobs but literally no place accepted me since i am still a high schooler so getting an actual job is impossible for me.

recently, on top of the previously mentioned shit he does, he also declared that he won’t be paying stuff for my education or just anything (which also includes my future university education, my sister’s education and all) and considering i am a high school senior now i have to get either perfect grades to get into university or get enough money to continue my education. 

what will i use the money for: 

• getting food for us
• buying my school books and university entrance exams preparation books, school courses etc.
• paying the fees, paying the application fees for scholarships and such
• saving up for my (hopefully) future university life, saving up for my future transition surgeries
• saving up to finally see a psychologist (even my psychology teacher said to me that i had the symptoms of severe manic depression, severe anxiety and bipolar disorder and i can feel that i need antidepressants very much with all my suicidal stuff but i have to see a doctor first which requires more than 1k usd)
  

and that is why i am opening donations and commissions. to survive basically.

|| info on translation commissions

• japanese → english. chinese →  english. turkish ↔ english. other combinations may be considered.
  
• i will translate songs, plain texts, news, manga, doujinshi, character profiles, tutorials, caricatures, blog posts, tweets, street signs, anything you can think of. 
• you should provide me the thing you want me to translate. either as a link or a zip file (for scanned stuff like manga or such).
• i will publish the translated material on my blog (either on softdespair, my main blog, or xuesei, my side blog) to create some sort of portfolio. please let me know beforehand if you don’t want your commission to be published.
• as for doujinshi translation commissions that are from pixiv/etc: please make sure that you have the artist’s permission before contracting me. you can refer here to see how you can ask the artists. it would be disrespectful to translate their work without their permission.
• as for song translation commissions: provision of the lyrics (i.e., untranslated japanese/chinese lyrics) are preferred very much. that way, i can translate it much quicker and more accurate. also i am in the “no literal translation, yes meaning translation” team so i translate that way as a default. if you prefer a literal translation of the lyrics please let me know beforehand.
• as for image-based translation (manga/doujinshi/etc) commissions: i will provide the translation as a text file by default. if you want me to typeset it as well you will have to pay an extra 1 usd/euro/your currency per page. typesetting takes lots of time for me.

|| info on language teaching/tutoring commissions

• i can help you with turkish, chinese or japanese.
  
• i can teach you the grammar point you are having a hard time with, teach you kana, help with kanji, punch hanzi together, rescue you from turkish verb conjugations, tell you the resources that can be helpful or such. language stuff man.
• teaching you the language through songs: as an option, i can teach you all the grammar points, tricky stuff, vocabulary that are used in a song you pick. i will make you a big pdf or word file or both that i will format aesthetically so you will even be able to print out the thing and study from it. i will add a vocabulary list at the end of it and provide at least two example sentences to each word. that’s like at least 15 grammar points and approximately 100 new words per song for you to learn. i prepared one sample page for the grammar part and uploaded here so that you can check it out. you will literally get a personal textbook with real life examples in it if you will commission this one.

• for song/text/etc translation commissions: 0.05 usd/euro/your currency per japanese/chinese character or turkish word.
  
• for image-based translation (doujinshi/caricature/manga/etc) commissions: 1.5 usd/euro/your currency per page.
  
• for language-thru-songs commissions: 50 usd/euro/your currency. this one takes time to prepare man.
• for other language tutoring/teaching commissions: starts from 5 usd/euro/your currency
• if those prices are high for you then also please, please, consider my situation. i will literally buy food, survival things and such with this money so we (me, my mother and sister) can continue to live and i will need as much as money possible for that.

• give me the specific information in that email too. for example: do you prefer a literal translation for this song? do you want me to keep the kun/chan/san/etc suffixes for the translation of this doujinshi? do you prefer the translation in pdf or word file?
• please pay me at least the half of the payment before i start your commission. i can get more food quicker for us then.
• i will send you a sample page when i finish translating. please pay the rest of the payment at that time and i will send you the translation.
• i will try to complete your commission in maximum one week. 
• i will inform you about the process of your commission via email.
